ABOUT ARGENTINA
Argentina is one of the largest Spanish
speaking countries in the world and the
eighth largest country by territory. Its
capital, Buenos Aires, the ninth-largest
city in the world, is an expansive metropolis
stretching more than 75 sq miles. The city
is home to more than 2.5 Million people,
with more than 11.5 Million living in the
Greater Buenos Aires.
Unlike most other Latin American cities,
Buenos Aires has a very strong European
influence in its art, architecture, literature,
and lifestyle. Nevertheless, it manages
to retain its identity.
Argentina has long been recognized as a
best-shore solution for American and Latin
American corporations because of the quality
of the work produced and the price (3:1 dollar to peso ratio).
Thanks to advances in technology and outsourcing providers,
Argentina can now provide their services
in a similar time-frame as their clients
changing them from a best-shore to a near-shore solution.
Argentina has faced some tough times in
the early 21st Century. However, the country
is moving in a positive direction. In 2005,
Argentina’s economy was growing at
a brisk 9% and had a surging export industry,
and plenty of offshore activities.
